Curriculum & Organisation of The School

Our Curriculum is designed to nurture young children and to stimulate their language, physical, cognitive and creative development and to encourage positive self-esteem and social interaction and to meet the individual needs of each child, emphasizing the building of autonomy and problem solving abilities.

The school is organized into 3 stages:

• The foundation stage (Nursery)

• Key stage 1 (KG-1 – KG-2)

• Key stage 2 (1st – 5th)

 

The early year’s foundation stage curriculum is followed from nursery through to the end of the reception year the curriculum is organized in the following:

Prime Areas:

• Communications & Language

• Personal, Social and internal development

• Physical development


Specific Areas:

• Literacy

• Understanding the world

• Expressive arts & design


These are the areas that include developing specific skills and knowledge. Both the prime and specific areas will be taught through:

• Playing and exploring

• Active learning

• Creating and Thinking critically
